My Kuronba and Ora Ora Inspirations and Goals.

Hello Gals!

I told you I'd come back with something interesting today and I'm going to hold up my end of the deal. Today's post is inspired by a recent one of Lizzie's Eternise-Moi blog where she wrong about her Agejo style inspirations and goals and I loved the idea of writing down what you want to achieve and what inspires you in one post, not only for the benefit of your readers but for your own sanity!

Sometimes Gyaru is a little overwhelming, so many sub-styles, so many different ways of doing your hair and make up, so many rules to follow that differ from sub-style to sub-style and it can make your head spin if you're not careful. I know a lot of ladies like to follow a few different styles but, especially if you're working on a tight budget, it's always best to pic a style that you enjoy and stick with it.

I used to be very into the Hime and Agejo styles but as I grew older and my tastes matured I found myself enjoying the look of Kuronba and Ora Ora styles the best as well as finding that they fit my personality and tastes a lot better. I also live in a small town in England and walking around in frilly things with suspenders and the like generally doesn't get the best reception, not that that is the deciding factor but I think that people generally need to feel comfortable in what they are wearing and I just never did in Hime or Agejo even though I enjoyed the way they look, do you see what I mean?

Anyway, enough with the ramble and onto the pictures!

My Kuronba Goals.

1. Get a deep, dark tan (mine's still a bit pasty at the moment!)
2. More D.I.A! I have a few pieces but I need more, more, more!
3. Lose weight. I want to feel more comfortable wearing shorts and no tights.
4. Learn to do Suji properly. I have a little experience with it but not very much.
5. Dye my hair extensions silver to match my hair, or perhaps a different colour altogether. What do you guys think?

Me and My Silver Hair.

Hello Gals! Long time no speak! I've been so busy recently that I've just not been able to update but I've had a little bit of a change in my look. I've managed to dye my hair silver and I love it (○⌒∇⌒○).

Here's my look from a couple of weeks ago, just after I dyed it as well as my outfit! I love my new belt and that golddigga hoodie. It's so chavtastic! Haha.

If you're wondering how I got the silver look I bleached it using the Crazy Colours Bleach Kit and then used the La Riche Directions silver dye which I left on for 3 hours. The tubs say it only needs 45 minutes but I read in most places that leaving it on for extended periods of time (even overnight) is perfectly safe because of it being a semi-perm and conditioning dye and will result in a better colour overall. I also use the Touch of Silver Twice Weekly Shampoo as well as the Nourishing Conditioner once a week and use the Touch of Silver Dry Shampoo in between to keep it looking fresh.

I'm in such a positive mood today because I had such a good day yesterday. We all went for a little walk in the woods with my friend's dog and the sun was out in full force. We had such a laugh. It was really quite fun. I came away from it feeling generally quite positive about the future.

Looking wistfully off into the distance. The sunset makes my hair look a pretty colour!

Me and my boyfriend under the old railway bridge.  I rarely ever wear trainers but OMG those are just amazing. I'm a sucker for anything leopard print and I'm not going to wear heels to walk in the woods! Haha.

Now I'll finish up with some edited scenery pics I took on our walk.

I promise to update sooner next time with more interesting things to say!

Sunday Gets.

Ok so technically I got this stuff yesterday but I spend the entire day in the company of friends and couldn't blog about them straight away but here we are.

First of all I have a small eyelash haul.

(left to right) Cat Eye, Angel Eye and Princess Eye. Angel Eye and Princess Eye are my two favourite Diamond Lash styles I've bought and I really wanted to try out Cat Eye as I've seen it on Mipochi before and I loved the look of them. I've yet to wear them but hopefully I'll be able to show you how they look on within the next few days.

These gorgeous Peep-Toe heels are by DEEP 7.  I have leopard-print flat boots by the same brand and they have lasted me years so I'm hoping these will be equally as good. They are exceptionally high though. I'm going to have to train my feet to walk in them before I actually go out anywhere wearing them.

I have this coat too. I haven't got a picture of it "in the flesh" but you can get the gist of it. I wear my Yumetenbo Leopard Print coat too much and it's not waterproof so the fur is getting a little scraggy now and I don't want to keep putting it through that torment so it's good I finally have a waterproof coat as well. It's snug and warm and soft and that's all I need!

Lastly I have my most recent make-up look to show you.

I'm using Diamond Lash Angel on the top and Princess on the bottom. The Circle Lenses are from the Princess Mimi series. They are my favourite lenses to wear.

I cannot wait until I get to try out my new Cateye lashes!

Comeback with Gyaru Manifesto Meme

Hello Gals and Guys!

Firstly I must apologise for the lack of posts recently. After moving from a little flat that cost us pennies we moved to a house with a higher rent and more expensive bills and I have to admit, we were struggling for money and my hobbies kinda took a back-seat. With nothing interesting to post like "gets" etc I just seemed to stop posting but now we have finally settled into the swing of things and I finally have enough money again to spend on non-necessities so here we are.

I wanted to come back with the Gyaru Manifesto Meme. I filled this out back when I first started this blog and I think it's quite interesting to now see how things have changed in terms of my style, Gyaru goals and inspirations etc.

Name: Holly
Location: Suffolk, England
Occupation: Freelance Writer/Administrator
Height: 5'3
Hair/Eyes: Blonde(dyed)/Blue

First discovery of gyaru: I first saw Gyaru back in 2005 when I became interested in Japanese Fashion as a whole. I was first introduced to the Ganguro and Mamba girls that were around then and thought "wow this style is CRAZY!" Needless to say I didn't follow it until a number of years later when I started seeing pictures of Aina and Yumachi and I thought to myself "These bitches are HOT, I want to look like that!"

Top 5 Gyaru Achievements:

So I got a camera!

Ahh, I'm back! I finally got myself a camera. It's a Samsung ES20, it's pink and it's actually pretty good. It won't live up to my old camera's standards (it's not waterproof or shock-resistant for one) but for a bargin at £20 I think I did alright (how much do I love Ebay?). Though it has a really cool feature for creating "beauty-shots" that smooths the skin though I've not been able to get it to work without just making me blurry yet, I'm guessing it takes practice.

Anyway, I decided to try and go a little more "droopy eye" with my make-up and I followed the following tutorial from Soul Sister:

(scan credit goes to sukebans.tumblr.com)

And this was what I came out with:

To be honest I was quite proud of it. It's been a little while since I've done the Gyaru makeup thing. I just haven't had the time or need for it but recently I've just wanted to start doing it all again, and getting involved with the community again. I worry because I've been into the style for a while yet I don't think I'm amazingly good at it, and it scares me that I'll have horrible things posted about me on G_S because of my failz0r but maybe that's just my anxiety talking, I don't know.

Anyway, I told you all about my new kitty, didn't I? Well finally I get to introduce him!

His name is Kingston, he's 10 months old and he has a wonky eye, but to be honest I think that makes him cuter. He's quite timid and tends to be pretty scared of most people, except for me. He loves to sit on the sofa with me and watch me play the Xbox. I love him so much that I actually had dreams about him turning into my baby. That's a bit weird isn't it? haha!

My favourite Gyaru Hairstyles.

I know, I've neglected you. It's not been for lack of trying but my life has been a bit hectic and with my lack of camera situation right now I don't have much to share with you. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll have something with a bit more substance for you, once my camera is replaced haha.

Anyway, I decided that I'd make a blog post with some of my favourite Gyaru hairstyles that may inspire some of you. Let me know your results if you decide to try any out

(mainly the silver/purple girl in the back and the two at the front)

(don't really like the top left one but the other two are larvely)

And I'd like to finish off the post with my favourite one of them all.
