You're gonna see some big changes around here!

Hello gals! ☆^(*・ω・)ノ゜+。*゜+。

I've been neglecting my duties as a blogger, I know I have, I know. Bad Holly. Naughty Holly. I'll be honest though, even though I've continued to follow the Gyaru style as best I can life kinda got in the way of blogging and the community in general. I'll tell you what, the last few months have been somewhat of a rollercoaster for me! I broke up with my boyfriend (which my facebook friends will have seen), had to move out of my little house and leave my cat behind (TωT) and move back in with my parents. I started seeing someone else and you know what, we clicked. We'd been friends before my ex and I had broken up and it worked so we made things official and we'll of been together for 3 weeks as of tomorrow (๑→ܫ←人→ܫ←๑).

I'm generally trying to move on with my life and make things more positive for myself. I have been in a slump and I'm not going to lie, my anxiety has been really quite awful but my new boyfriend has been extremely supportive of me getting some help and being able to change my life for the better. I'm not going to let other people hold me back from living my life any more ~(=^‥^)ノ☆.

One thing I wanted to dedicate more time to in order to bring more positive things into my life is blogging and just Gyaru in general. Gyaru makes me happy, it makes me feel more confident in myself, even if some of the comments you get in the street are a little mean 99% of the comments I get are compliments and curiosity and that little 1% are not worth bothering with ( ̄ー ̄). I'm going to be making a few changes around here including changing the name of the blog and the layout to fit better with how my style has progressed. As for right now, well I thought I'd make a post on exactly that, how my style has progressed from my first attempts at Gyaru to my most recent photos.

Me before Gyaru.

My style was generally boring. I hadn't found myself yet and I just wore whatever I could throw on. I had no co-ordination and no thought into what I wore.

My first Gyaru Attempts

Shameful, I'm not going to lie (though I do wish I was still the weight I was then, going out with a chef for 3 years really does pile on the lbs haha).

My most recent pics.

I know that I can see the progress, even though I think there's always progress to be made and that everyone should always feel like they are improving their style, except maybe the Black Diamond gals, they're already perf haha (⌒∇⌒). I don't have any pictures of outfits, again it's something my anxiety and mental health hasn't really allowed me to do, I have been far too self-concious to allow my body to be in pictures much but I'm going to start taking more pictures of myself and more pictures of my outfits to document my style (^ω^).

So there we have it, that's my progression through the style. I hope that you liked the post and I hope that you continue to watch this space and look forward to the changes and up-coming posts I'm going to be making, or at least trying to make haha.

Inabizzle my dizzles!

So I got a camera!

Ahh, I'm back! I finally got myself a camera. It's a Samsung ES20, it's pink and it's actually pretty good. It won't live up to my old camera's standards (it's not waterproof or shock-resistant for one) but for a bargin at £20 I think I did alright (how much do I love Ebay?). Though it has a really cool feature for creating "beauty-shots" that smooths the skin though I've not been able to get it to work without just making me blurry yet, I'm guessing it takes practice.

Anyway, I decided to try and go a little more "droopy eye" with my make-up and I followed the following tutorial from Soul Sister:

(scan credit goes to sukebans.tumblr.com)

And this was what I came out with:

To be honest I was quite proud of it. It's been a little while since I've done the Gyaru makeup thing. I just haven't had the time or need for it but recently I've just wanted to start doing it all again, and getting involved with the community again. I worry because I've been into the style for a while yet I don't think I'm amazingly good at it, and it scares me that I'll have horrible things posted about me on G_S because of my failz0r but maybe that's just my anxiety talking, I don't know.

Anyway, I told you all about my new kitty, didn't I? Well finally I get to introduce him!

His name is Kingston, he's 10 months old and he has a wonky eye, but to be honest I think that makes him cuter. He's quite timid and tends to be pretty scared of most people, except for me. He loves to sit on the sofa with me and watch me play the Xbox. I love him so much that I actually had dreams about him turning into my baby. That's a bit weird isn't it? haha!

New Diamond Lashes!

This is just a quick post to show you the new lower lashes I got through the post this morning. I got them from ebay through a seller called Liemze.

I love the little touch of the handwritten note and it's on Rilakkuma paper which makes it all better (ฅ'ω'ฅ)♪! I love it when sellers include little things like that. It makes it more personal and I love the attention to detail.

Here's me wearing the lashes:

Sorry for the herpy-derpy (๏_๏:) (but when aren't my pictures herpy?) and I know my hair isn't made up but I'm not really going out anywhere, I just wanted to try out the lashes and my hair needs a break from all the heat styling.
I love them! They're really cute and the silly picture just doesn't do them justice. I absolutely love Diamond Lashes, they are definitely my favourite brand right now.

Lastly, here's a bonus picture (ha) of me fucking around in some image editing whatsit do-dad on teh interwebz.

No lenses in as my eyes have been really tired recently. I was going out for a meal with friends and my boyfriend. It was yummy. I had pasta and a sundae (*^▽^)/☆*★.

Now to start dieting and not eat out at yummy places anymore haha. Can anyone tell me which Jmags have exercises in them? I know Popteen and Ageha do and occasionally Egg has a feature but are there others with larger weightloss features in them?

Thanks (ฅ'ω'ฅ)♪

Finally feeling festive. A few early birthday pressies.

I feel totally spoilt at the moment. My parents came to bring up the little xmas tree they had because we were lacking anything festive in the new flat. They also brought me pressies! I'm keeping most of them to open tomorrow but there were a couple of things they wanted me to open while they were there as I wont see them on the actual day of my birthday. Meep.

Our xmas tree! Excuse the table carnage haha.

About half of my birthday pressies! I feel so spoilt this year. I have more pressies then I've had since I was a little'un, even on my 21st I didn't get this many haha.

These are the items I opened while my parents were here.

The throw and the pillows. The Pillows are actually for the bed but the duvet covers I asked for are still wrapped up for tomorrow so I've made them sofa cushions for now. I had to explain to my boyfriend that they were decorative pillows, not for sleeping on. He's like "What, just to look at? We're not even gonna give them to guests to sleep with?" I had to explain that you wouldn't give them a canvas print to sleep on so you wouldn't make them sleep on the pillows either! Men, eh? So ignorant to interior design haha.

He made it up to me by joining in the fun and giving me an early birthday pressie. He said he didn't know how he was going to be able to wrap it so he might as well give it me now haha.

Strawberry icecream lip balm! It actually smells delicious. I would eat it if I didn't know it was lip balm haha.

I've finally decided on the hair and makeup styles for tomorrow. I'm going to try and practice them today if I get the flat cleaned in time before my boyfriend comes home with his cousin. These are the pictures I'm getting inspiration from:

Hair

God I hope I can pull off the hair. I've done suji before so it should be ok. Meep. I'm kinda excited about tomorrow now. I don't know if I'll get chance to post but those of you who follow me on twitter might get a twitpic or two.

Boyfriend's gifts!

I know I said I'd post my clothes haul today but my camera on my phone is epically bad and all the photos I took look like poo. Once I go to my boyfriend's to see him I can use a decent camera to show you the things I've got.

But do not fear, I still have things to show you! My boyfriend surprised me with some gifts. Isn't he lovely? Well they were just a couple of little things but meep, I love it when he surprises me like that!

Hello Kitty Charm Bracelet and matching necklace! Aren't they cute? Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Hello Kitty and I think these things are just adorable. Now they can go with my Hello Kitty Lens case, my Hello Kitty Purse, my... I think I've gone Hello Kitty Mental, don't you?

I also have me wearing my new Diamond Lashes!

HERPY DERPY. Sorry for the bad upload, photobucket is having a fail at me and blogger is really awful at compressing files. Wearing my wig, I'm never really sure if it suits me.

Lastly I leave you with...

VELCRO HEAD! Because it's full of Velcro-y goodness.

Sorry for the short entry, feeling a little bit stressed and put-out today and therefore I have no inspiration for anything constructive or useful. I'm thinking about doing a little review on the Diamond Lash eyelashes (the upper ones) when I can utilize a decent camera. Would any of you be interested in that?

Shoppingholics haul!

Omg YAY my stuff from Shoppingholics (as well as loads of other stuff but that would make an epically big post so I'll talk about them tomorrow)! Finally I have diamond lash eyelashes of my own.

These are the eyelashes I bought.
1. Diamond Lash Series 2 No.3 Angel Lash Upper Eyelashes. They are so long and gorgeous. I can't wait to try them out.
2. Diamond Lash Series 1 No.4 Lovely Eye Lower Eyelashes. This style I've seen so much in magazines, especially in Egg.
3. Spring Heart No.12 Dynamite Volume Eyelashes. These look so volumous and glam. I have seen these kinds of eyelashes a lot in Ageha.

I really loved the packaging for the Spring Heart eyelashes. Isn't it cute?

I also got this little thingymajig to put in your hair for volume. It will help give my hair a bit of a break from teasing!

I was also given free gifts!

1. These are little velcro things to keep your hair out of your face. Very handy indeed.

2. These are cucumber eye masks. I can't wait to use these. I always have a problem with dark circles!

3. A face mask. I can't read the instructions or anything but I like the packaging.

4. These are little tools to help apply your false lashes. You put the lashes on the curved article at the bottom and then use the big blue thing as clippy tweezer whatsits to pick it up and then apply it to you eye! I'll let you know how easy it is to use!

Here's a better view of the velcro whatsits that hold your hair back.

Isn't the package just adorable?!

Lastly, I was given a thank you card along with my order but the name was wrong! The order was mine but they had the wrong name in the card haha. Oh well, it was nice to get a thank you anyways.

I really like Shoppingholics. They have a good selection and great personal service, good shipping times and rates and generally I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy Japanese Eyelashes or Circle lenses. Definitely worth a look.

I also have news! My boyfriend and I went to the estate agents yesterday afternoon to hand in our paperwork for the flat and now, on the website the flat is listed as "references pending"! I'm sure our references should go through ok, we've not given any misinformation or anything of the sort so fingers crossed we should be in within the next couple of weeks. I'd be so gutted if not! Meep! I can't wait.

Tomorrow I'm going to update with my clothes gets and hopefully I'll get my Cocona-style makeup tutorial up.
Also, I now have a Poupee girl account. Please add me if you have one too!

Fail review/rant for MUA Eyeliner - British Gals.

This is a fail review/rant for the Liquid Liner pen by MUA, a brand from Superdrug. This is mainly for British Gals as I'm not really sure that Superdrug is in many other countries, please let me know if this is not the case! Either way, you'll want to stay away from this product after this.

I bought the MUA Eyeliner Pen as I've used a "felt tip" style pen liner before but it was by Max Factor so I guess my expectations for it were set a little high. I had been previously using the 2-true liquid liner (the light-blue waterproof one) and had been completely blown away by it as it was a cheap brand but it was a good colour, stayed on and the brush was small and it was easy to apply whilst still looking neat but I wanted to use something that produced slightly thinner lines (so I could do better inner-eye-corner bits).

The first time I used it I started having problems. Doing thick lines were ok but as soon as you tried to use just the tip of the pen to do smaller, more fiddly lines (the reason why I bought the thing in the first place) I started to have problems, the line came out faded and smudgy and instead of actually working it just dribbled out tiny bits of eyeliner and then smudged them about, creaking a murky brown colour with skin showing through, instead of a thick black like it should be.

The above picture is to try and demonstrate the difference between using the whole bit and then trying to just use the tip. The difference in colour and clarity is obvious even with my crappy phone camera. The problems didn't just stop there though. If you try and line your lower water-lines it does the same thing, it won't spread properly and just looks awful.

The whole product is just badly made. The liner easily smudges, as soon as I curl my lashes it smudges just by being touched by my eyelash curlers. It starts to flake as soon as it dries. It really is an awful product. In fact, my pencil liner has more staying power then my liquid liner which is usually the opposite case!
Needless to say I went back to my 2-true eyeliner straight away. Stay away from this horribly made product, it really isn't worth the money, even if it is only £1.

Also Gals and guys, I have some news! Me and my boyfriend are looking at flats. We have a viewing today at 4pm. I'm so excited. We're finally going to make the step to get a place together. I've been wanting to have our own space for a while now. I'm so excited!

Started using my extensions again! I love how much more gal my hair looks once the extensions are in. I need to dye them though as the colour is slightly different from my main hair which just looks a bit tacky lol.
