You're gonna see some big changes around here!

Hello gals! ☆^(*・ω・)ノ゜+。*゜+。

I've been neglecting my duties as a blogger, I know I have, I know. Bad Holly. Naughty Holly. I'll be honest though, even though I've continued to follow the Gyaru style as best I can life kinda got in the way of blogging and the community in general. I'll tell you what, the last few months have been somewhat of a rollercoaster for me! I broke up with my boyfriend (which my facebook friends will have seen), had to move out of my little house and leave my cat behind (TωT) and move back in with my parents. I started seeing someone else and you know what, we clicked. We'd been friends before my ex and I had broken up and it worked so we made things official and we'll of been together for 3 weeks as of tomorrow (๑→ܫ←人→ܫ←๑).

I'm generally trying to move on with my life and make things more positive for myself. I have been in a slump and I'm not going to lie, my anxiety has been really quite awful but my new boyfriend has been extremely supportive of me getting some help and being able to change my life for the better. I'm not going to let other people hold me back from living my life any more ~(=^‥^)ノ☆.

One thing I wanted to dedicate more time to in order to bring more positive things into my life is blogging and just Gyaru in general. Gyaru makes me happy, it makes me feel more confident in myself, even if some of the comments you get in the street are a little mean 99% of the comments I get are compliments and curiosity and that little 1% are not worth bothering with ( ̄ー ̄). I'm going to be making a few changes around here including changing the name of the blog and the layout to fit better with how my style has progressed. As for right now, well I thought I'd make a post on exactly that, how my style has progressed from my first attempts at Gyaru to my most recent photos.

Me before Gyaru.

My style was generally boring. I hadn't found myself yet and I just wore whatever I could throw on. I had no co-ordination and no thought into what I wore.

My first Gyaru Attempts

Shameful, I'm not going to lie (though I do wish I was still the weight I was then, going out with a chef for 3 years really does pile on the lbs haha).

My most recent pics.

I know that I can see the progress, even though I think there's always progress to be made and that everyone should always feel like they are improving their style, except maybe the Black Diamond gals, they're already perf haha (⌒∇⌒). I don't have any pictures of outfits, again it's something my anxiety and mental health hasn't really allowed me to do, I have been far too self-concious to allow my body to be in pictures much but I'm going to start taking more pictures of myself and more pictures of my outfits to document my style (^ω^).

So there we have it, that's my progression through the style. I hope that you liked the post and I hope that you continue to watch this space and look forward to the changes and up-coming posts I'm going to be making, or at least trying to make haha.

Inabizzle my dizzles!

Just a quick little outfit post and makeup post.

Hello Gals!

I had such a fun weekend! On Friday night we got a gorgeous new corner-group sofa and broke it in by inviting a bunch of friends over for drinks and a bit of music. Call it a sofa-shower haha.

This is how it was before we moved it into our home. It's pretty isn't it?

Here's a little peek of my outfit from Friday night (excuse the dirty mirror!)

And my hair and make

Saturday I spent most of the day feeling sorry for myself if I am honest. I was so hungover the next day I can't even begin to tell you! My boyfriend was working late that evening so we didn't do much except snuggle on our new sofa and watch films once he got back.

Then Sunday we had a couple of friends over and watch some movies and just generally relaxed. It was so lovely out yesterday too. It's really beginning to feel like spring now!

I have a few gets to show you in the next couple of days once they all come through the post. Eek! I love getting packages but not what it does to my bank balance haha.

A little Ageha June 2011 Review.

I really like the June 2011 edition of Ageha. The entire thing is dedicate to the models personal styles and their daily life (from what I can make out). Some of them have really helpful tips and tutorials. I'll share with you my 5 favourites. Click the pics for the full image.

Himena's pages are wonderful. I love the picture of her in the hostess dress and her hair is just fabulous.

I think I actually climaxed when I saw this page. So much MA*RS I could faint! Could anyone remind me of this girl's name and point me in the direction of her blog?

The diagrams for Satomin's makeup are great. I really want to try these out, especially the purple one.

This is another girl's blog I'd really like! Her hair is fantastic and her outfits are beautiful.

I love the tutorial that shows you the placements of dark and light lines around the eyes. I think this is a really great basic tutorial for gals to work off while finding the right "droop" for their eyes and we all know I LOVE droopy eyes ^_^ (though I have to scroll quickly past the feet because they freak me out...)

All-in-all I thought this was a great issue of Ageha. I loved how it got down-and-personal with the models and gave you a little insight into their lives as well as being able to see their personal style and personal tips. I would be grateful for someone translating some of these pages! Definately worth downloading the scans, or more-so buying this issue.

I get my scans at http://www.laurita.ch where you can also get other Gal Mag scans too ^_^.

It's been a while...

Well hello there everyone. I'm sorry for being such a stranger but things in my personal life happened and I just didn't have the mind to come on and blog however, I think, I hope that I'm back and ready to give you a huge update on my incredibly boring life!

Today's mission was to find a decent outfit, hair and makeup for tomorrow's little belated Valentines Day celebration with my boyfriend. Financial issues got in the way of celebrating on Valentines itself but his mum is away for the week so we'll be alone to have a candle lit dinner, how romantic! On top of that I also made a home-made hair-mask, I used a home-made body scrub and I put porridge on my face in order to be at my best. Read more for the recipe for the scrub and the hair-mask as well as other exciting things!

Redye.

I'm back from my friend's place. I'm the most absent minded person and I didn't take any pictures at all. We didn't do much other then go shopping. I bought some sexy undies which, I wont go ahead and show you haha, but I also managed to pick up some more hairdye (my roots were getting horribly bad) and some new makeup.

For the love of Tanning.

I finally got to tan again last night. I've not been able to because of the cuts on my knees. I get a bit paranoid that I'll give myself blood poisoning if I tan over broken skin so I always have to wait for stuff to heal.
I'm so pleased with it though. I'm really loving the tanner I have at the moment. It's by Famous Dave's. I only bought it because my boyfriend's name is Dave but it turns out that pretty much every review said it was better the St Tropez and Fake Bake etc. After using it I can see why. I'm not so much orange but a brown colour and I'm really pleased with that. It's the only tanner that has really worked on my skim as well. I have such light skin that most just dont make much of a difference at all.
I totally recommend it. I use the DARK version in the spray, but there are other varieties available. A quick search on Ebay will come up with quite a few hits so go and buy if you're looking for a decent tanner.

Top 10 looks from Ageha Jan 2011

Well I finally got my hands on a copy of the January issue of Ageha. There is a distinct lack of outfit variation in this issue though which is a bit of a let-down considering it's usually my first go-to for inspiration but what it lacks in outfits it quite clearly makes up for in styling and make-up techniques which, I think, was probably the aim.

Boring day.

I have done pretty much nothing today except for waiting for the workman to come and check where the leak in our ceiling fan is coming from. He was meant to be here at 9am this morning but didn't come until about 2 oclock this afternoon. It wasn't his fault but it's really annoying when you can't do anything but wait.

I've also been trying my hand at drawing Chibis. My mum has a Wacom Bamboo tablet that she very rarely uses and I wanted to try my hand at it. I'm just completely stuck at drawing the hair. Is anyone a graphical whizz out there and can give me some pointers?

This is my very messy sketch of her so far. Help me, please?

Top 10 co-ordinates from Jan 2011 Ranzuki.

I've decided to do a monthly thing for my 4 favourite magazines (Ageha, Ranzuki, Egg and Popteen) that I'll pick out my favourite co-ordinates and post them on here.
The way I started learning to co-ordinate and still do, to some extent, is to look through the magazines and pick out co-ordinates I like I try and put together something similar with the items already in my closet or, in fact, buying new ones. Whenever I go shopping, still to this day, I do it with particular co-ordinates in my head and try to re-create those in my own style and my own way using the items I can find on the highstreet or on the internet. I personally think this is a great way to get into the style. I know a lot of gals criticise "copying" but that is fashion, at the end of the day, you "copy" what you see in the magazines or what inspires you and add your own flare to it. As long as you dont go out and buy those EXACT items and style them EXACTLY the same way then I think you're ok ( ^∇^).

So anyway, these are my top 10 from the January Issue of Ranzuki.

Ahead of my game.

So there I was, casually browsing the January copy of Ranzuki and BAM I open up a page and staring back at me is Nicorun wearing what looks to be the Yumetenbo coat I bought as my Birthday Pressie to myself.

I dont think it's the exact coat as the toggles are a little different but I always feel pleased when I see clothes I own appear in the magazines.
