Egg November 2011 Outfit Picks.

Finally the scans for Egg November 2011 have been posted on Jmagazinescans and I got all excited, as I usually do with the release of Egg and it was with good reason, I really loved this issue of Egg. It's not often that I'm disappointed with the magazine and this issue was no exception.

(click for full-size image)
My favourite outfit of the entire issue was the girl with blonde hair wearing the D.I.A denim legwarmers, leopard print skirt and the grey, knitted long-sleeved jumper, but then I always have a weakness for D.I.A. I loved all the tutorials for hair and makeup in this issue too, some of which I'll have to try out for myself.

I need a bit of help from you all! I have two requests:
1. Can you tell me if the girl in the top left of the picks has a blog? I believe her name is Riho, I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm that for me? I love her in the magazine and I'd love to see her personal style.
2. I want to place an order through celga from the mbok auctions. I'm a little cautious with shopping services though. I'm quite stuck in my ways and I'm used to the one I currently use (shopping mall Japan) but they only do Rakuten and Yahoo auctions and I'd really like to buy items from Mbok. Can anyone guide me through how to place a bid through Celga? In dumb-blonde steps please? haha.

I have a few outfit and personal style posts to come as well as my picks for Happie Nuts November 2011 to come. Let me know what you think of this month's Egg!

November Popteen Outfit Picks and gets from Superdrug and Ebay.

It's that time where all the November scans are being released so here are my outfit picks from the November issue of Popteen.

I was fairly unimpressed with Popteen this month but then I often find that it fails to impress me anyway. I was pleased with the MA*RS spread they had though *brand slave*.

I also have a few gets to show you! My ebay stuff and my Superdrug stuff have come through.

Ebay Gets.

1. Rilakkuma bento box with chopsticks.

2. Revlon Very Light Ash Blonde hair dye. I got 2 boxes of this, one for my actual hair and one for my extensions. The extensions are slightly different shade of blonde to my actual hair so hopefully this will combat the issue.

3. Razor Comb for doing my layers. I need to learn how to use this properly though haha.

4. Pack of combs. I needed a new teasing comb and I found that it was actually cheaper to buy a full set of combs rather then just a teasing comb by itself. Gotta love bargins.

Superdrug Gets

1. Kleenex face wipes. They are brand new so I wanted to try them out and see if they're any better then the simple wipes I currently use.

2. Set of MUA eyeshadows in various browns. I should really branch out and get more colours but browns are such a staple, especially now we're in the a/w season.

3. More MUA eyeshadows except these are in a more pinky-brown shade.

4. Just a pressed powder as I dropped my last stuff on the floor and it all broke up and split in my bag and on my carpet. It was really ace.

5. MUA nail polish in light pink.

6. MUA lipstick in pink.

7. More 2-true liquid liner because the MUA stuff sucks monkey ass.

8. Neutrogena Multi-defence facial scrub. I need more face-wash and it's been a while since I've used a scrub instead of just a cleansing wash.

9. A new toothbrush/uninteresting list point.

If you would like me to review anything I've just got, please let me know and I'll try and review it as best I can ^_^.

I was hoping my stuff from Shoppingholics would come today but as yet it's not arrived. Boo. I hope it does come. I want it before the weekend.

Fail review/rant for MUA Eyeliner - British Gals.

This is a fail review/rant for the Liquid Liner pen by MUA, a brand from Superdrug. This is mainly for British Gals as I'm not really sure that Superdrug is in many other countries, please let me know if this is not the case! Either way, you'll want to stay away from this product after this.

I bought the MUA Eyeliner Pen as I've used a "felt tip" style pen liner before but it was by Max Factor so I guess my expectations for it were set a little high. I had been previously using the 2-true liquid liner (the light-blue waterproof one) and had been completely blown away by it as it was a cheap brand but it was a good colour, stayed on and the brush was small and it was easy to apply whilst still looking neat but I wanted to use something that produced slightly thinner lines (so I could do better inner-eye-corner bits).

The first time I used it I started having problems. Doing thick lines were ok but as soon as you tried to use just the tip of the pen to do smaller, more fiddly lines (the reason why I bought the thing in the first place) I started to have problems, the line came out faded and smudgy and instead of actually working it just dribbled out tiny bits of eyeliner and then smudged them about, creaking a murky brown colour with skin showing through, instead of a thick black like it should be.

The above picture is to try and demonstrate the difference between using the whole bit and then trying to just use the tip. The difference in colour and clarity is obvious even with my crappy phone camera. The problems didn't just stop there though. If you try and line your lower water-lines it does the same thing, it won't spread properly and just looks awful.

The whole product is just badly made. The liner easily smudges, as soon as I curl my lashes it smudges just by being touched by my eyelash curlers. It starts to flake as soon as it dries. It really is an awful product. In fact, my pencil liner has more staying power then my liquid liner which is usually the opposite case!
Needless to say I went back to my 2-true eyeliner straight away. Stay away from this horribly made product, it really isn't worth the money, even if it is only £1.

Also Gals and guys, I have some news! Me and my boyfriend are looking at flats. We have a viewing today at 4pm. I'm so excited. We're finally going to make the step to get a place together. I've been wanting to have our own space for a while now. I'm so excited!

Started using my extensions again! I love how much more gal my hair looks once the extensions are in. I need to dye them though as the colour is slightly different from my main hair which just looks a bit tacky lol.

AFRO!

Look, I'm keeping up with blogging! I just wanted to share with you the lenses I got from iwantcute.com. They are Geo Magic lenses in Green.

Photobucket

This is the difference in my eyes, no makeup with one in and one out. (as you can tell). I already have quite big eyes anyway but you can see a significant difference.

Photobucket

A close-up of them with no makeup at all.

and then with makeup. I know it's quite messy but I was pretty rushed!

Photobucket

Both my eyes with the lenses in. Again, I'm sorry for the messiness of the makeup.

I really loved these lenses. I love the colour and how big they make your eyes. They are quite comfortable but I am used to wearing lenses now. They do make them a little dry but what lenses don't? Get yourself a good bottle of contact lens eyedrops and you'll be fine.
http://www.iwantcute.com had great service and INCREDIBLY fast delivery for any of the Uk gals so get your ass there now and buy, buy, buy.

And now for my hair and outfit for today:

Photobucket

Do you like my afro? This does not do it justice!

Photobucket

Rockin my new MA*RS top and my tralala shorts. Ignore the lack of accessories and bingo-wings, I don't seem to have pictures with/without haha.

Lastly, my dog got a job at my dad's work

Photobucket

Do you like her uniform?

New things, new style.

I'm so sorry for my absence! I'll be around more soon. Not only have I barely found the time to sit down and write anything useful or inspiring, my phone camera is seeming to get worse. I need to buy an actual camera or buy a new lead and charger for my old one. Either way, I have some pics of my recent gets.

I got my favourite MA*RS set through, unfortunately the skirt doesn't fit but the top does! My stupidly badly proportioned body is stupid. Luckily I'm losing weight again now so I'll be able to fit into it as some point in the future haha.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Yummy, yummy D.I.A. top. It's absolutely gorgeous but my boobs seem to be too big (having 32B boobs I never get to say that!) and they look flat at the side but standing face-on I actually have a bit of cleavage! I never have cleavage.

Photobucket

Top-dress which is so cute. I'm really loving floral prints at the moment.

Photobucket

Stompy boots! I think these are gonna go so well with the top-dress above and the leather-look with lace inset leggings I have on the way. Menswear as womens wear/androgyny is really in this season. I also have a cropped tuxedo jacket on the way for the outfit. Can't wait till it arrives!

Now, I had enough with my half-dead hair. The bottom wasn't absorbing any dye and was a completely different colour to the top so I had a moment and cut it to my collarbones.

Photobucket

I actually like it. I'm also trying to change my style a little bit. I want to start looking more my age. I'm almost 22 now and, as much as I love the tsuyome style and such, living in a tiny village in Norfolk, UK (one of the most backwards places in England) it's not so acceptable to walk around in suspenders and such. I love that style but I don't feel comfortable in it anymore. Right now I'm trying to build my self esteem, create a healthy mind and body and eventually get myself back into work and living as normal.
I'm recovering well from my Depression, my anxiety is being controlled by my medication and I'm finally accepting my bulimia is out of control and I'm getting help so wearing clothes that I'm not comfortable in will only exacerbate my conditions. I'm feeling more inspired by Jelly, Blenda, Nuts and high-fashion now. I hope to keep my style Gyaru because it's what I love, what I enjoy, what I'm passionate about, but I want to be more onee-gal and start feeling confident about myself.

Gig in the Park

I've taken a while to post this. I've been feeling a little weary about it as I look totally awful in all the pictures. The humidity was quite disgusting and my hair first went flat and then puffed out so I looked like I'd just rolled out of a hedge, but I like this blog to be a sort of insight into my life and since I had a lot of fun I thought I might as well post it, so please excuse my ridiculous look.

My outfit for the night. Please excuse the flat-hair. I love the action-shot of the hairdressers in the background!

The main stage. We didn't spend much time here but the Swedish girl band that played last were really great.

The dance stage where we obviously spent most of our time. They played some decent electro but some of it was far too cheesy for my liking.

A cute little "gypsy band" stage by the porta-loos (they obviously drew the short straw there). The band was actually really good and the lead singer was HOT if I do say so myself. If I were single...

Photobucket
Me and my boyfriend with our adoring fans! Please ignore the fatty-arm and my ridiculous face!

Photobucket
My boyfriend's friend got obsessed with my coat and spent the rest of the night in it! Strange man. Again, please ignore the red-eye!

That's all I have from Gig that aren't really awfully bad! I do have a couple of pics of my outfit and makeup from yesterday for you to redeem myself.

Photobucket
My outfit. I took it in my new floor-length mirror and it's done some weird warping thing! I actually am dumbfounded about how it's done that.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Hair and makeup. Please ignore the boob-age in the first pic!

I still can't wear my circle-lenses but I'm going to the opticians today to get my eyes checked and sort out whats happened to them. Hopefully it will clear things up and I'll be alright to wear them again in a few weeks.

Skincare regime.

I'm at my boyfriend's house at the moment so I dont really have fashion posts for you but I have been thinking about posting this for a while; my skincare regime.

We know make-up is a huge part of the Gyaru style however with your skin being constantly covered with all those products, you need a healthy skincare regime to make sure that you don't end up looking like you've got the plague.

Personally I use the Simple range as they have no colours or perfumes in them and are great for sensitive skin like mine. I would really recommend them.

My Morning routine:

I start the day using their moisturising face wash. This isn't exfoliating but my skin doesn't take well to exfoliating facial wash so I think this is the best thing I've tried. My face feels fresh and my pores feel tight after using it.

I follow that with their replenishing moisturiser. I love this stuff as it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple.

The only other thing I sometimes do is use a facewipe just to take off any left-over eye makeup that I didn't manage to get off the night before.

Night-time routine:

I swear by facewipes. They are cleansing, toning and moisturising in one go and take off even waterproof mascara and eyelash glue which a lot of wipes I find don't fit the bill. I know facewipes get a lot of criticism but I think they are fantastic, they are time saving and money saving replacing 3 products with one.

I do tend to still follow my make-up removal with the moisturiser in the evenings because I'm a bit of a moisturising addict.

There we go. That's my facial skincare regime. I'll post about how I keep my body-skin (^o^) in good condition soon.
